Hotel Mangalemi is a full service lodging facility with a restaurant, cafe, hotel rooms and a conference area. The hotel is located in the historic Mangalemi quarter of Berat city, below the castle. Part of the hotel is located in a 270 year-old house and the complex has been decorated and designed to complement the local, historic style. The entrance and lobby area are located in the front of the hotel, with the cafe and winter breakfast area next door. On the second floor, there is a wide space open to the street and a terrace with views of the mountains on both sides. There is also a small, but quiet and pleasant garden in the back. The hotel decor and furniture are inspired by the historic details of the Mangalemi quarter. Exposed stone and brick are used and the outdoor dining area on the second floor is an excellent example of indoor to outdoor flowing space. Each room has a unique character and is slightly different. Oak wood furniture retains a rustic feel and there are intricately carved wood ceilings in some of the rooms. Small stone and wood terraces compliment some of the larger rooms, and the hotel has renovated some of the older quarters to update them, including new bathroom tile and fixtures.
